Finally made it into the Air Force

Well I found my journal by default. So anyway I'm now in the Air Force. It took me longer than expected to make it to my base, but I finally made it. I'm stationed at Kirtland AFB Albuquerque, NM. I've been here about a month now. My job is NDI (Nondestructive Inspection). I inspect parts of the aircraft and other equipment for cracks using different methods. I enjoy my job so far and am glad I didn't get stuck with AGE, the job I was supposed to have. I bought a new car and drove it down here to NM from my home state of PA. It's a 2006 Scion tC. It's dark blue and I got a spoiler added to it to make it even more sporty looking. It has 17" wheels and I love it. It was the first and only car I test drove. Let's see what else...oh yeah as far as the guy department goes, I met a guy about 3 weeks ago. His name is Brent. He's 24 and is pursuing a bachelor's degree, though he's not sure in what. We hung out last week and I hadn't heard from him since last Thursday. I thought he was blowing me off, but I called his cell yesterday on my lunch break and his brother answered. Apparently his brother, Tim, was in Santa Fe over the weekend and got into some trouble. So Brent went to help and defend him, but in the process got into a fight and got hit in the face with a baseball bat. I guess it did so much damage that he required surgery. He had to get pins put in his face. He's supposed to be transferred to a hospital here in Albuquerque some time this week. As soon as I find out where he'll be emitted, I'm going to try to visit him. I told Tim I thought he was blowing me off, but Tim assured me he's not like that at all. So that put my mind at ease.
I'm out,
Sara Lee
